By taking your measurements from an existing shirt which fits you particularly well, you can achieve the same fit for a new shirt. With your shirt laid on a flat surface, follow the steps below using a measuring tape. You can make small adjustments to each measurement should you feel the need to do so.

Measurements can be taken in inches or in centimeters and are saved as a measurement profile in your account. This means that you can use your measurement profile to order the same shirt repeatedly or create a new style of shirt without the need to re-enter measurements.

If you would like to take unique measurements from your body, visit our guide here.

How To Take The Neck Measurement

  • Place the unbuttoned shirt on a flat surface with the button side up
  • Do not take the measurement from edge to edge
  • Place the start of the measuring tape at the stitching at the back of the collar button
  • Extend the tape across the collar
  • Take the measurement reading at middle of the buttonhole

If you know the collar size of one of your pre-existing shirts, you can use this measurement. It corresponds to the shirt size itself and is expressed either in centimeters (example:40) or inches (example:17).

How To Take The Chest Measurement

  • Place the buttoned shirt on a flat surface with the button side facing up
  • Place start of measuring tape 2cm (3/4in) below the left armhole stitching
  • Extend the tape across the shirt
  • Take the measurement reading at the right edge of the shirt

How To Take The Waist Measurement
